Papa's Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 box Barilla Oven-Ready Lasagna Noodles (9oz)
  • 32 oz Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese
  • 16 oz Shreded Mozzarella
  • 8 oz Kraft Shredded Italian Five Cheese Blend (Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmesan, Asiago, Romano)
  • 2 large eggs
  • Papa's Meat Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  • In a large bowl combine the ricotta cheese, five cheese blend and eggs. Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Spread 1 cup of sauce in the bottom of a 9X13 inch baking dish.
  • Place (3) dried noodles over the sauce. Ladle a generous amount of sauce on to the noodles. Using a table spoon, place (6) large dollops of the ricotta/five cheese mixture on the sauce. Place an additional (3) dried noodles on top and press down lightly until level. Add more sauce and layer until all but one of the noodles are used. Note: Don’t worry about the space between the noodles and the dish. They will expand during the baking process. Cover the last layer of noodles with a generous amount of sauce and the remaining 16oz of Mozzarella. Cover with foil. Either tent the foil or spray with cooking spray to keep it from sticking to the cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for (40) minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional (20) minutes. Let cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
