Spiced Cake Donuts
Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 2 eggs beaten
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp shortening
- Glaze:
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 tbsp HOT water
Instructions
- ) Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- ) Lightly grease a donut pan
- ) In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Stir in both milks, eggs, vanilla and shortening. Beat together until well blended.
- ) Fill each donut cup approx 3/4 full.
- ) Bake 8 to 10 minutes until donuts spring back when touched. Allow to cool slightly before removing from pan.
- ) To make glaze, blend confectioners sugar and hot water in a small bowl.
- ) Dip donuts in the glaze when serving
