Peach Upside Down Cake
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg (well beaten)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 6 peaches Sliced
- 1 tbsp lemon
- 1 stick butter
Instructions
Cake Batter/ Cottage Pudding
- Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a bowl
- In a separate bowl, mix the egg, milk and butter together
- Stir mixture gently into flour mixture.
Peaches Mixture:
- In a frying pan, melt the stick of butter along with the brown sugar, sliced peaches and lemon juice. (on medium heat)
- Once mixture is complete, pour into greases 9X13 glass baking dish.
- Cover peach mixture with batter
- Bake at 400 degrees until top is brown and crusty (~35-40mins)
