Rum Cake!
Ingredients
Cake Ingredients
- 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 Small Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 4 Eggs
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup Crisco Oil
- 1/2 cup 80 proof dark rum
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Glaze Ingredients
- 1/4 lb butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dark rum
Instructions
Cake Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together
- Put mixture in greased tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour
- Take 2 long pieces of foil long enough to wrap around cake on a cake plate.
- Put cake on foil and with toothpicks punch holes in cake and drizzle on until it is all absorbed
Glaze Instructions
- In a sauce pan mix butter, water, and sugar, heat to boil stirring until sugar melts (Do Not Burn). Remove from heat and add rum - drizzle on cake!
